Halloween was a success. Lots and lots of food, family and friends. We missed not having Oscar and Ruben's family, but I get, that will happen, maybe even more so as kids grow.

Another Bootiful Day
Halloween was a success. Lots and lots of food, family and friends. We missed not having Oscar and Ruben's family, but I get, that will happen, maybe even more so as kids grow.
We ventured around our neighborhood -- with nearly 80 homes, I'd say about 1/3 gave out candy. I couldn't believe how quiet it was. Maybe people are doing more church/school events, but I'm sad that there isn't more of a sense of a community with our neighbors. I think for my 13 house culdesac, only 4 houses handed out goodies. The little ones got plenty of candy, but the older one's felt short changed. We were in for the night and we had some late arrivals that were "drivin' in", do you think that's what it comes to? Driving your kids around until you find a "live" house. That sucks.
We'll see what next year brings. They did have fun hanging out nonetheless.
Today, Lilia, Sofia and I watched a movie first thing this morning. The boys and Alex's friend played WII. Finally a breakfast of pancakes around 10:30am. Now it's a lazy day ... cleaning the kitchen, laundry, and taking down the decorations. Fun.
Here's a picture ... I'm bummed I didn't get one of just MY kids, but they barely stood still for this one.

All the kids look great! Our neighborhood was probably a 60% participation rate.
