I can't think of the word now. What's the word when you are writing about 2 different things? Bi....something. I can't remember.
It's been over a week, I can't believe it!
Life has been busy as you can imagine. We had pictures done by 35th Place Photography (I don't know if that's the correct link, I googled it!) aka Tiff, Sara and Ashli.
So my first thing ... maybe you all haven't noticed it, but I'm fat. Yeah, really, I'm really fat. I go around everyday not seeing how I really look. Yeah, I may glance at myself in the mirror getting ready in the morning, but the visual image of myself is definitely not reality ... not how I REALLY appear in those pictures. I was highly disappointed. Not with the pictures, but ME in the pictures.
I'm motivated in my head, but life moves and another day goes by and I think.....dang, I ate too much today and didn't exercise.
Which brings me to my 2nd thing.
I've said it before .... there is not enough time in a day. How do people do it? How do households do it? How do moms do it? How am I supposed to work 40+ hours in a week, run kids to 3 different extracurricular events, homework, laundry, yardwork, housework....there just isn't enough time. Yeah, I know I've been zooming on cruise control keeping all the pots a simmering, but last weekend put me over the edge some.
Probably because I spent a full day doing laundry, mopping kitchen floors, scrubbing showers/toilets/bathroom floors x 3, moving furniture, sorting, cleaning, blah, blah, yadda, yadda, wah, wah! I think I was just cranky tired by 4pm, when I'd been going all day.
Yes, the kids helped.
I'm done complaining.
Bi.... bi....
Good night.
(p.s. I think I'll go walk the treadmill and watch The Buried Life for 1/2 hour .... since I did not get up this morning as planned at 5:15 to walk.)

Happy Love Day
We made cookies on Friday...took plates to the neighbors....xoxo

mmmmmmmmmmmmm

Passed out with her Valentine's blanket.

I love the decorations....both to look at and to eat :)
I spent the day with the one's I love....my kids, Rhea and Mateo. Made heart shaped pancakes for breakfast. Watched movies, both one freaky scary and a chic flic. O&J stopped arrived. Then the padres with some pizza for the kids. A little Olympics, more movies, cookies and chocolate.
The girls painted too, I'll share soon.
Good night.
Seattle
This was a school wake-up Saturday morning, where we get up as if we have school. Out the door to Sofia's soccer game by 7:20. Uggh. Her game was at Starfire in Tukwila. Home of the Seattle Sounders. Great fields, snack bars, coffee stands, stores, indoor heated restrooms ... made it much nicer.
They lost, but it was a good game.
JH had a basketball game, scored 8 points. He was full of himself.
This weekend was initially on my calendar as a trip to Kiyo's lakehouse. I had invited the cousins to attend too. Once that got postponed, I thought we could take a day trip. Unfortunately Ravae and Lukas had other plans and B is MIA, so I just had Rhea and Mateo.
We were on the road by 12:30.
First stop Pacific Science Center. Dinosaur, body and butterfly exhibits. A $3 "treat" at the store. Riding the space shuttle. Touching anemone (don't put your finger in their hole). Exploring the Seattle Center grounds. Listening to a street vendor play the sax. Following a group of people dressed in foil, like robots. Playing in the fountain, while it's on and raining. Making bets to see who could touch the silver dome without getting wet (they all got wet). Riding the monorail to Westlake Center to see Ashli. Out to dinner.
Here, they are ... Sofia is now wearing Alex's wet sweatshirt since her shirt was soaked.
On the monorail, heading back to the parking garage.
I think they had fun, I know I did.
I took lots of pictures with Ashli's new camera. But the pics live with her. The only ones I have here to share are from my iPhone. So, as usual, excuse the quality.
Good night.

LOVE
Lilia was born in the summer of 2005.
JH turned 4 that summer.
I was lucky to be off of work until nearly Christmas.
When A&S went back to school in the fall, JH too, but only in the afternoon, we spent a lot of time together, us 3. They have such a bond.
Tonight I came upstairs to this.
JH loves his L.
L loves his JH.

Productive Weekend
It's been a productive weekend.
Friday night is a blur, oh I remember, I finished the church staff Valentine/thank you bags for delivery on Saturday.
Saturday we headed out to JH's basketball jamboree. He played well. A little timid, compared to what I'm used to seeing. But this is his first game. First time with the team and coach. He's the tallest on the team. His August birthday messes him up for placement. For most kids sports, the cutoff is 7/31. Since his birthday is 8/6, he has to play "under". So he is the oldest, and tallest, on his team. But there is another kid that gives him some stiff competition. I love that he's trying something new.
Sofia had a game at Beamer. It was pleasant outside...makes the games easier, rather than pouring. The kids ran around barefooted. Ew, I know. Of course, Lilia had to go potty in the middle of the game. We went behind a tree, but that didn't go well. Luckily we had extra clothes in the van. They lost, 3-2. But they played well.
Sofia went to spend the night at Hannah's. Tarren arrived for pick-up around 7pm. While we waited until then, the boys played upstairs and Sofia and I watched The Secret Life of Bees. One of our favorites, and worked some more on our heart decorations, sewing the buttons on, still not done.
After she left, I ran to Target. I have to say, Target is the devil. I spend too much there, always! Went to pick up 2 movies for Ashli and ended up buying more. Some stuff I needed, deodorant, baby soap, shaving cream. But does Lilia really need another pair of stretch pants? Why, yes....especially if they are $5 and have hearts on them! And some Vday candy, and the cute $4.99 tablecloth, some knee socks for Sofia, vday cards for the boys ..... see, the devil. The guilt I feel just typing this, knowing my financial conscious Ms. B will be reading it. Oh, the shame.

I had a vivid dream about a pink cake with rainbow sprinkles the other night. I thought about it for days, so much that I wanted to make one.
Today was spent on laundry and more crafts I wanted to accomplish.
This I saw here, but this is my own version. I painted a artist board pink, then cut out some valentine paper into a heart shape. Modge Podged the paper on and sealed the paint. Then added my marbles. Not sure I like how it turned out. Lilia handed me every single marble for placement. Well, her and her imaginary boyfriend Jacob. It's not complete, I ran out of marbles.
I also made a pillow for Sofia. She had picked out the fabric and I thought I'd give it a try. I like how it turned out. I want some more of those pom poms. I don't like these that much, I'd like them softer. I'll have to look around. I saw some on etsy I may buy. I have some red polka-dot and pink fabric I want to use.
All the laundry is done....the girls sheets and blankets took a turn this weekend. Kids asleep. Clothes laid out, lunch bags ready. Whew.
And I didn't shower until 4pm today. No make-up, no hair done, my kind of day.
Tomorrow I'm taking my mom to a doctor appointment for her knee. I'm supposed to take notes and translate for dad. Sylvia should really do that, she's always got "medical stuff" more than I. I'm thinking I will record him with my phone for playback later. I hope that's legal.
A new Country Living and Real Simple are waiting for me bedside, so I must go!
Good night.

Thoughts
I need some opinions.
I found this chair at Goodwill.
It is a Thomasville. Good bones.
I'm still looking for fabric, but I'm debating whether I should paint it cream/white or leave it the natural color?

NEWS
The court has ruled today that Washington State is failing its constitutional duty to fully fund K-12 public education. What a win .... for students, school employees, parents and community groups and my colleagues that worked long and hard on this case!

Some day I'll breathe.
Some pictures from this past week.
Lilia's bestest friends from school. They had an evening dance and pizza feed. At first she was scared and wouldn't get out of my arms. Then she saw her friends .... she danced the night away.
